Balfour Beatty Infrastructure Services provides end-to-end integrated services designed to meet our clients’ objectives. Where appropriate we have developed a number of strategic partnerships to provide specialist client services.
We work with our partners and clients teams to drive efficiency while ensuring that the public benefit from better services.
We are committed to a number of long term joint ventures to deliver effective, efficient and integrated solutions, including:
- Through the active integration of managerial, technical and operational skills of Balfour Beatty Infrastructure Services and Mott MacDonald, the InterRoute joint venture provides industry leading services to the Highways Agency in Area 2 (covering Somerset, Avon, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Devon) and Area 4 (covering Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex).
- TranServ is a joint venture with Mouchel, specialising in trunk road management and maintenance for Transport Scotland (North West Scotland) and Westminster City Council.
- As part of the Group ‘creation and care of essential assets’ strategy, Balfour Beatty Group invests heavily in large scale design-build-finance-operate (DBFO) highway projects through the Connect Roads business. Balfour Beatty Infrastructure Services provides management and maintenance services to the Group roads investment portfolio including the A30/A35, A50, A1M1 and M77.
- Balfour Beatty Capital is also a major investor in UK street lighting Private Finance Initiative (PFI) opportunities. Balfour Beatty Infrastructure Services delivers the capital investment programme and maintenance for three concessions including Sunderland, South Tyneside and Derby.
