Environment and sustainability recycling

We have never been more aware of the effects we have on the environment, both as individuals and as an organisation. In the way we run our business and in the services we provide, we seek to manage issues such as climate change, resource use, biodiversity and pollution.
In our own business, we have acknowledged the key environmental issues as:

  • energy and water use
  • waste minimisation
  • ecology
  • employee travel

Working with our stakeholders we have identified many areas where we have been able to make a positive contribution to the environment - through investing in new technology or learning from the experiences of others.

We are also introducing a bespoke environmental awareness training programme to our staff encompassing pollution prevention, waste segregation, identification of protected species and vehicle usage.

In addition to our overall commitment to continually improve our performance and comply with relevant legislation, we:

  • ensure environmental impact is assessed throughout our projects to prevent pollution, minimise impact and consider opportunities for improvement
  • incorporate sustainability measures into our business operations
  • continually develop the skills and expertise of our employees on environmental issues

We have a comprehensive Environmental Management System certified to the International Standards ISO 14001:2004 in place to ensure that we minimise any negative impacts that may arise as a result of our activities and promote best practice.
