Stirling Effort in Scotland

Scotland TranServ, a joint venture between Balfour Beatty and Mouchel, has landed a new consultancy contract with three Scottish councils: Stirling, Falkirk and Clackmannanshire.

The contract will run until 31 March 2010, with the possibility of a further 24 months of extensions and is worth more than £1m. It was awarded on a 70:30 price/quality ratio This win gives the Balfour Beatty/Mouchel Group joint venture first refusal on a wide variety of road design, road condition surveys, waste management and bridge inspections.

Director Glen Player said: "Clearly we are delighted with this success. The win allows us to continue to build on its already strong presence in Scotland and provides us with the opportunity to establish longer term relationships with these authorities and others in the future."
