Investing In The Future

Peter Hutchings, Senior Marketing Officer of the Wildlife Trust with Tim Malynn, Director and Alison Rothnie, Senior Environmental Adviser of Balfour Beatty Infrastructure Services

Balfour Beatty Infrastructure Services, the highways management and maintenance business of Balfour Beatty plc, has become a corporate member of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.

The Trust, the largest in a network of nearly 50 across the UK, runs almost 60 wildlife reserves across its region, managing 6,500 acres of countryside in an area known for its rich diversity of habitats and species unique to the region.

Now Balfour Beatty Infrastructure Services has joined other local businesses in backing the organisation's work. It will support campaigns and projects, and be on hand to provide practical support as required.

Tim Malynn, Director, Balfour Beatty Infrastructure Services, said:

"Our operations can affect the environment, and so we regard sound environmental management as an integral part of our business. We are delighted to lend our support to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust, as part of our policy of minimising our impact on environmentally sensitive areas and neighbourhoods. We very much look forward to building a strong and mutually beneficial relationship with this organisation, and to sharing thoughts on environmental best practice with them."

Peter Hutchings, Senior Marketing Officer of the Wildlife Trust said:

"As a charity dedicated to wildlife conservation, we can only be truly effective with the support of companies that really care about the environment. We are very pleased that Balfour Beatty Infrastructure Services has joined us as a corporate member. By getting involved in Trust projects, they will encourage their staff, suppliers and customers to help look after Hampshire's wildlife. Their help is much appreciated, and we know that this will be the start of great relationship."
