Reporting to the General Manager the Design Manager will be responsible for the management design and technical function for Street Lighting. This will include the production of designs for all lighting and electrical installation works under the PFI contract. Other responsibilities will include:

• Management of the design team in the delivery of projects on a day to day basis.
• The preparation of designs, bill of quantities, specifications and drawings.
• Working in accordance with procedures prescribed within the Quality Management System.

Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate an extensive knowledge of relevant design software and standards, as well as the IEE regulations. You should hold an Exterior Lighting Diploma or equivalent and be a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with full membership of the Institution of Lighting Engineers or equivalent. Street lighting experience is highly advantageous. The role is suitable for a team player who is prepared to take ownership of this demanding yet exciting role.
